A little boy asked his mother,
"Why are youcrying?"
"Because I'm a woman", she told him.
"I don't understand," hesaid.
His mom just hugged him and said,
"And you neverwill".
Later the little boy asked his father,
"Whydoes mother seem to cry
for no reason?"
"All women cry for noreason"
was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up andbecame a man,
still wondering why women cry.
Finally He put in a call toAN old man; when
AN old man got on the phone, the man asked,
" AN old man, why do women cry so easily
AN old man said, "WhenGod made womanshe
had to be special. He made her shoulders
strong enough to carry theweight of the
world; yet gentle enough to give comfort.
He gave her aninner strength to endure
childbirth and the rejection that many
timescomes from her children.
He gave her a hardness that allowsher
keep going when everyone else gives
up and take care of her familythrough
sickness and fatigue without complaining.
He gave her sensitivityto love her children
under any and all circumstances, even
when her childhas hurt her badly.
This same sensitivity helps her make achild's
feel better and share in her
teenagers anxieties andfears.
He gave her strength to carry her husband
through his faults andfashioned her from
his rib to protect his heart.
He gave her wisdom toknow that a good
husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes
test herstrengths and her resolve to stand
And finally, He gaveher a tear to shed.
