Manga Cover for Naruto Vol 64.
Yes I know, I just blew up the thumbnail but I’m so excited for this! You can see some little details with a slightly bigger, albeit blurry, picture.
That’s Neji, protecting Naruto and Hinata. While Naruto didn’t really pass chakra to Neji, he ultimately symbolizes the Ninja Alliance. Neji is seen as a caged ‘bird’ of the Hyuuga —- in the same way the Bijuu caged the Ninja alliance. We know that in the end the Ninja Alliance breaks free from the Bijuu attack and there is a formation like a bird (infused with Chakra). Also note that Neji is in front of the Ninja Alliance. For more reference check out Ch 617.
And of course, Naruto and Hinata are holding hands!!! I guess, Kishimoto wanted us to remember the importance of that moment. THIS is one of the few covers wherein Naruto seems to actually have contact with another or is remotely different from the default posing covers. (The only one I can remember is the cover where Naruto is leaning on Jiraiya while napping).
