So the moment Sasuke arrives at the battlefield, Naruto is the first person to acknowledge Sasuke, but it is Sakura who actually gets him to respond. And look at his face when he says his first word.
LOOK AT IT. Okay.
Not only does his speech use ellipses which implies that he’s thinking/inhaling/whatever, but he’s also glaring (or his eyebrows are furrowed; I can’t really describe it; it’s late). Now this might just be me over-thinking things, but I think this almost implies that he was thinking about how Sakura tried to kill him and vice versa. His back was facing Sakura when he heard her say his name; people’s voices can trigger memories, and the last memory he really had of Sakura was her trying to kill him.
AND LOOK AT HIS FACE. He’s glaring, but it’s not a look of hatred or disgust, he looks angry because he’s hurt, still hurt by the fact that the girl who once told him she loved him with all of her heart tried to kill him. So this means that Sasuke loves her and yaddayaddayadda … (Just kidding, onwards!)
This is his face when Team 8 get on the scene. Calm; EVEN KIND OF MAKING A JOKE WTF.
And then his face again when Sakura asks him why he’s at the battlefield. Sakura triggers actual feelings in Sasuke. FEELINGS.[/frame] |
