Tsuneo Koboyashi
kenjikay:
That name might not mean much to a lot of folks, but if you’re a naruhina fan, it means everything! He directed The Last: Naruto the Movie, which came out almost a year ago. Regrettably, that film would turn out to be his swan song: he passed away last May, at the far, far too young age of 50, after doing storyboard on Boruto: Naruto the Movie.
However, like other directors, he’s left plenty of fantastic works behind him, including the anime adaptations of Midori Days and Emma! To say nothing of the fantastic and somewhat obscure anime adaptation of Twelve Kingdoms, a fantastic anime taking a premise similar to Fushigi Yuugi and giving it a truly strong female protagonist! If you want to know more, Mike Toole has a great article about his works, well known and not so well known, here!
