igutierrez@MiamiHerald.comAs if the debut of the Heat's Big Three wasn't enough of an event, the team's season opener will be full of intrigue. The NBA released part of the 2010-11 schedule, including the opening week and games on the Christmas and Martin Luther King Jr. holidays. The Heat opens the season in Boston, where the season ended for Dwyane Wade and the Heat, and also where it ended for LeBron James and the Cavaliers. The game is at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 on TNT.And on Christmas Day, The Heat will travel to Los Angeles to meet the two-time defending Lakers at 5 p.m. on ABC.The Celtics will feature a roster that includes the Heat's starting center from last season, Jermaine O'Neal, and possibly the Cavs' starting center from last season, Shaquille O'Neal, who is reportedly in talks with Boston.Shaquille O'Neal, of course, also spent nearly four seasons with the Heat, winning a title in 2006 before being traded to Phoenix in 2008.Last season, O'Neal was supposed to be a critical part of James' supporting cast on a Cleveland team with title aspirations, but James' season ended in disappointment in the second round in Boston. It was in Boston where Wade vowed he wouldn't lose in the first round again; and it was against Boston in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference semifinals that James was accused by Cavs owner Dan Gilbert of quitting on his teammates after scoring 15 points on 14 shots in a 32-point loss.It also will be the first meeting between the Celtics' Big Three, who won the title in 2008, and the Heat's new-and-improved Big Three. The Heat-Celtics game will kick off the 2010-11 season. Miami's first home game is Oct. 29 against Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic at 8 p.m. on ESPN. The Magic eliminated James from the playoffs a year earlier in the conference finals.CLASH OF STARSThe Christmas Day game between Miami and Los Angeles likely will be touted as a potential NBA Finals preview. But an underlying theme will be the meeting between Kobe Bryant, the man who won a title on his own with the Lakers, and James, who couldn't win it all as the Cavs' main man, and who sought help from Wade and Chris Bosh.It will mark the fourth time in seven years the two teams have met on Christmas Day. The Heat and Lakers were featured for three consecutive years on Christmas beginning in 2004, O'Neal's first year with the Heat after being traded by the Lakers. The league also announced its nationally televised games for Jan. 17, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, but the Heat is off that day.The rest of the schedule will be released Aug. 10, but several outlets have obtained dates for certain games, including the Heat's four contests against the Cavaliers. The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported that the Heat visits Cleveland on Dec. 2 and March 29, and the Cavaliers will come to Miami on Dec. 15 and Jan. 31. The Heat reportedly will play in New York on Dec. 17 and Jan. 27.Heat individual-game tickets are likely to go on sale in early October. Season tickets are sold out.HOUSE SIGNSThe Heat officially announced the signing of combo guard Eddie House on Tuesday,

House finished last season with the Knicks, but spent the previous two-plus seasons with the Celtics, where he was a key bench piece for the 2008 championship squad. He averaged 7.5 points with Boston.House spent his first three seasons with the Heat, and for his career has shot 39 percent from three-point range. A streaky scorer, House can play either the point guard or shooting guard position and should be able to play comfortably alongside either Wade or James.Read more:
