"I'm really glad I get to take part in this."The annual Dillards Prom Show, previewing prom and after-prom fashions, went off without a hitch in the Victoria Mall just outside of the department store."We're doing our prom event to show off all of the different looks that are coming out this year for prom cheap prom dresses 2011," Aimee Slayton, the general manager of Dillards, said.Gary Moses emceed the event while 13 models from the Debbie Bennett Green Dance Studio modeled this year's prom fashions.A crowd gathered around the stage cheap long prom dresses, examining different styles of dresses short prom dresses, makeup and hair.Cuero High School student Melanie Guerrero already has her prom dress plus size prom dresse, but was still looking for different ideas for hair, makeup and accessories."This is pretty cool. I'm definitely looking for ideas grad dresses," Guerrero said.The department store puts on the fashion show every year to give people an idea about what some of the trends will be for the dance, Slayton said.This year A-Line prom dresses, prints are popular, as are shorter dresses and dresses that are form fitting to the knee before flaring out in a full skirt. Metallic colored gowns are also being seen a lot.Dillards sales manager Mary Grace Perez said the event helps people figure out what's in style and is also good for the store."We definitely see an increase in business because of this.
