We’ve reported on many a Kate Middleton wedding dress rumor grad dresses 2011, but could this be the one that turns out to be true? Huffington Post royal correspondent Yvonne Yorke sure thinks so. She claims Sophie Cranston of Libélula is designing Kate’s gown purple prom dresses, and that she’s been waiting to spill the beans for four months.Why did she keep the secret so long? Because the Palace wanted her to. As is their policy regarding matters of the dress, St. James won’t comment prom dresses 2011, but this is why Yorke believes they’re keeping mum: From what I’ve uncovered grad dresses, the reason the palace did not announce the designer’s name (as they did with the Emanuels who were confirmed just one month after Diana’s engagement) was to protect Cranston and her family from media scrutiny for as long as possible, and to allow her the freedom to create the wedding gown of Catherine’s dreams without additional pressures and distractions. It’s stressful enough to make an unforgettable gown that will be seen by billions around the world and which will be immortalized in royal and fashion history.We can respect that, even though we’re dying to know who is designing this thing! The only time we’ve ever heard of Cranston was when Kate wore a black velvet Libélula dress coat this winter (we’ve included it in the photo above). After winning the Designer of the Year Award at London’s Graduate Fashion Week in 1999 cheap long prom dresses, Cranston worked at Alexander McQueen and helped found Temperley. She then moved to Spain, and started Libélula in 2002. We hear Emma Watson is a fan!We’re taking this bit of into with a grain of salt A-Line dresses, but we think Yorke is very possibly correct. Of course cheap grad dresses, that doesn’t mean that Cranston is necessarily also responsible for Kate’s evening party dress. And while we’re not disappointed, per se, Cranston’s designs are decidedly not princess-like. They’re pretty and romantic, but there’s certainly no drama.
