The Southern Oregon Historical Society will host “Glitz and Glamour” on a Sunday Afternoon
prom dresses 2011, a tea and fashion show of gowns from the personal collection of Ginger Rogers. The event is scheduled for Sunday, May 1, at 2 p.m. at the Rogue Valley Country Club.2011 marks the 100th anniversary of Ginger Rogers’ birth. To commemorate this event, the historical society will host a fashion show featuring twenty gowns owned by Ms. Rogers. These gowns from her personal collection include dresses that she wore on the Bob Hope Show and in night club performances. The event will feature live music; a recreation of a famous Ginger Rogers – Fred Astaire dance routine; music reminiscent of her movies; a presentation by Roberta Olden
plus size prom dresse 2011, Ms. Rogers’ personal secretary; and a silent and live auction of Ginger Rogers memorabilia including items owned by Ms. Rogers
White prom dresses, like shoes and a gown. Rosemary Harrington will be the Mistress of Ceremonies. A souvenir program will feature photos of Ginger from her Hollywood days and photos taken of her while she lived in the Rogue Valley.There are 18 tuxedo clad gentlemen from throughout Southern Oregon escorting models to the fashion runway.
